With some new and intriguing solutions designed to enable studios and post-production houses to meet the complex and ever-evolving challenges of this new age of digital video editing, Avid has rolled out some exciting, advanced post-production workflows, which were showcased at this year’s NAB Show in Las Vegas.
Avid’s demonstration showcased how it can power seamless, end-to-end postproduction workflows and allows creative teams to work efficiently from anywhere. The overall goal for this new update to Avid is simply to deliver high-quality content faster—something every editor and video professional can relate to these days.
This update also shows how Avid has built upon its strong heritage of audio and video innovation while still aiming to deliver tightly integrated, yet open, postproduction workflows, enhanced with AI-powered tools, intelligent automation, and advanced cloud capabilities.
New Avid Post-Production Solutions
The big news here is that Avid is launching several new, innovative solutions, including its cloud-based Avid on AWS production framework. As the industry embraces virtual production and cloud-based infrastructure trends, Avid is also helping bridge the gap between creative ambition and technical complexity with workflows that streamline the entire postproduction process while offering easier adoption and greater flexibility on a compliant, secure platform.
“Avid is simplifying media production workflows into faster, more efficient operations without sacrificing quality. We are focused on giving postproduction teams the power to collaborate securely, scale quickly, and reduce friction in their workflows. Whether working across cities or continents, our solutions free them to keep the focus where it belongs – on powerful storytelling.” — Guillaume Aubuchon, Senior Director, Product Management at Avid.
At NAB, Avid was able to spotlight how its post-production solutions—namely Media Composer and Avid NEXIS—are set to help enable studios, networks, streaming services, and independent content creators to overcome the hurdles they face and work better than ever before.
