Other World Computing (OWC) today announced the introduction and immediate availability of the new pocket-sized, totally bus-powered, OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro FireWire 800/400+USB2 portable storage solutions which utilize performance Serial ATA (SATA) 2.5" Hard Disk mechanisms to provide capacities of up to 200GB and priced starting from just $209.99. The OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro is the first-ever pocket sized, 2.5" SATA HD-based storage solution available to consumers.

OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro solutions provide reliable, high performance storage that is ultra-portable. Solutions utilize the best available components and feature a custom Oxford 924-based FireWire 800 & USB 2.0 bridge solution, measure 3"W x 5.5"L x 1"H, and weigh less than 11-ounces. On-The-Go Pro solutions are bus powered via USB2 and FireWire, allowing operation without separate power adapter. Solutions include EMC Retrospect for data protection and Intech HD Speedtools utility suite, and also are bootable via FireWire and USB 2.0 interfaces. A rugged exterior case and built-in shock protection ensure maximum data security.
