Other World Computing (OWC), a leading provider of products and services for the Macintosh marketplace, today introduced “The Pod Protector,” a customized leather carrying case for the Apple iPod MP3 player just in time for the holidays.
The Pod Protector fully encloses the iPod in full-grain, glove-soft leather and features a clear vinyl window to protect the iPod screen and clear vinyl protection for the buttons. A swivel belt clip with quick release button is optional.
As part of the company’s launch of The Pod Protector, OWC also kicked off a holiday Apple iPod giveaway, with the grand-prize winner receiving a new Apple iPod MP3 player and a Pod Protector. OWC will also give away 50 of The Pod Protectors – 25 with a belt clip and 25 without – to randomly selected participants. Winners will be announced on December 19, with delivery of the prizes before December 25.

Beginning today, consumers can see The Pod Protector and enter the OWC iPod Giveaway Sweepstakes at OWC’s Web site, http://eshop.macsales.com/giveaway. Once at the Web site, consumers simply click on the “Click Here to Enter” button at the bottom of the page and then enter their information. No purchase is required.
