Other World Computing Introduces OWC Neptune FireWire Storage Solutions

Other World Computing (OWC) today debuted its new OWC Neptune line of external 7200RPM FireWire storage solutions. The drives are available in 60 Gigabyte (GB) to 250GB capacities and are available immediately.

OWC Neptune FireWire drives feature a custom Oxford911 bridge solution, two six-pin FireWire 400 (1394a) ports for convenient plug-and-play usability, a 7200RPM drive mechanism, 2 or 8 Megabyte (MB) data buffer and data transfer rates of up to 400 Megabits per second (Mbps). All drives come pre-initialized with free Mac shareware/freeware/public domain software and include a FireWire cable, Intech Hard Disk SpeedTools and Dantz Retrospect Express (for PC or Mac) backup and restore software, as well as a one-year limited warranty.
The 1.5-inch x 9-inch x 5.5-inch drives are highly portable, weighing only 2.7 pounds, and boast an extremely compact and shock resistant design for maximum portability. Prices for OWC Neptune storage solutions start at $109.99 for the 60GB version, $129.99 for 80GB, $159.99 for 120GB, $189.99 for 160GB, $239.99 for 200GB and $299.99 for 250GB versions, respectively.
