OWC.net, Woodstock’s premier Internet Service Provider (ISP), announced today that it will provide free Internet hosting services for the McHenry County 4-H Youth Technology Team (MCYTT). The MCYTT teaches local youth how to develop computer skills that will serve them later in life.

“As a leading source of technology products and services, Other World Computing and OWC.net are natural nurturers for technology students,” said Larry O’Connor, CEO of OWC.net. “This is a good example of how a local Internet Services Provider and technology leader can make a difference in helping young people be active in creating a better tomorrow.”

One of MCYTT’s current technology projects is to refurbish donated computers to donate to schools, churches, non-profit organizations or to people with disabilities. Anyone interested in donating a computer can call the Woodstock 4-H office at 815-338-337 for information.

OWC.net provides high quality, cost-efficient Internet service on a statewide basis and is considered the premier Internet provider for Woodstock and McHenry County residents and businesses. Parent company Other World Computing is McHenry County’s leading technology employer as ranked by McHenry County Business journal.

Information on OWC.Net is available online at www.OWC.net or by calling locally (815) 338-8685 or toll free (800) 869-9152.
