Who Am I? How Did I Get My Start. What Are My Interests?

I’m Adrian Porter aka, AP! I’m originally from Columbia, SC and I started my career as a drummer and I got my first big break with the late Aaliyah. After many years of being a session/touring drummer I made the transition to producer and composing. But, after a few years I was formally introduced to the idea of becoming an engineer by one of my mentors (Eddy Z). I’m currently working as programmer, playback engineer, producer, and mixer to the stars. When I’m not on tour working on amazing shows you can find me in Atlanta, GA in my studio!

I love working out and spending time with family and friends. Family is everything to me and throughout my career I’ve tried to keep my environment warm, like family.

I’ve been honored to receive an Icon Award in Atlanta and was honored with playback engineer of the year.
